Loved by the pop-geek cognescenti, the quirky indie-pop heroes Belle and Sebastian have been confirmed as one of the acts for next summer’s 34th annual Montreal International Jazz Festival (It’s OK, piano-trio purists, just put your head between your knees and breathe deeply and slowly.)
The seven-member Glaswegian combo, led by Stuart Murdoch, will perform July 5, 2013 at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier of Place des Arts. They last performed in Montreal in 2006 at Metropolis.
Tickets, priced at $43.40, go on sale Saturday, Dec. 1, at noon, at the Place des Arts box office. You can also make the purchase online at http://www.pda.qc.ca or by phone at 514-842-2112
The 34th annual Montreal International Jazz Festival runs from June 28 to July 7, 2013.
