Patrick Watson will perform a pre-opening concert as part of the Montreal International Jazz Festival, organizers have confirmed.
Watson and band will play at the Gesù June 25 at 8 p.m., three days before the festival officially gets underway. The support act will be Arc Iris, featuring Jocie Adams of the Low Anthem. Adams will also be in the Watson band for the occasion. Robbie Kuster, Joe Grass, Mishka Stein, Josh Zubot and Ariel Eagle round out the lineup.
This announcement comes on the heels of the recent news that Watson would play three concerts with orchestral accompaniment at Église Saint-Jean Baptiste Nov. 15, 16 and 17.
